Playing Rules
USTSA-USA uses Major League Baseball / USA Softball
rules with limited amendments approved in each state and age
level of play. Team
Rosters are
submitted prior to your first game in each event and then
Frozen for that event, This allows flexibility of adding
needed players. For the benefit of cultural differences
USTSA-USA allows to make altercations to rules that will
benefit teams on a local level which is to be approved
through the Regional Director or National office; however
all Regional and World Series events will adhere to the
USTSA-USA Rules and By-Laws.

Event
Format
In part, the USTSA-USA event format was designed to give
more opportunity to teams of all skill levels. By offering
the Ultimate, American, and National Divisional split format
teams could have opportunity to play at a higher level
during pool play games without being eliminated from the
event, then be placed in a competition bracket of equal
level experience giving increased opportunity to play for a
Championship. Each Division will award berths to the
Division World Series to two teams each event.
|
|
Venues
Facilities are sought in a manner that will give teams the
highest quality of field conditions that can be offered.
Locations will be selected with a concept of making travel
easy on teams and families. To uphold quality over quantity
it is prohibited to have two events being conducted on the
same weekend that is within a 50 mile radius. |
Ranking
The Points Ranking System is based entirely on a team’s
tournament wins accumulated and not participation. Teams
will accumulate State and National Ranking Points based on
wins in during Pool Play and then throughout the event in
one of the earned divisional playoff championship brackets.
Points earned will accumulate and be used for future
tournament seeding in ALL USTSA-USA events for the
annual season. State Directors will have the approval of
adjusting Pool Play seeding only to accommodate travel to
teams should it be a need otherwise Points Ranking will set
the event to begin. In both Baseball and Fast Pitch USTSA-USA
will induct ALL Divisional World Series Champions into the
HALL OF FAME. Events will awards individual player
awards for special achievements such as HOMERUNS &
NO-HITTERS while adding the player to the USTSA-USA
PLAYER ACHIEVEMENT CLUB.
